e-tijariX as the ERP for manufacturing in the UAE: kits, lots and true FIFO cost for light assembly

e-tijariX serves as an ERP for manufacturing in the UAE where production is light assembly, kitting or batch making rather than a scheduled factory floor. The catalogue kits feature holds each finished product as a kit with its component list, so assembly consumes components and books the finished item at the cost they actually carried. Purchasing, FIFO and FEFO lots, dealer sales of finished goods, VAT and e-invoicing sit in the same database. Next Orbit offers, implements and supports it.

  • Catalogue kits as bills of materials

Quick answer

What is e-tijarix for makers and who is it for?

e-tijariX is an ERP for manufacturing in the UAE, offered, implemented and supported by Next Orbit, for light manufacturing, assembly and kitting. Catalogue and inventory defines finished goods as kits with their bills of materials, holds raw materials and finished stock in FIFO or FEFO lots and batches across warehouses, and records production movements between them. Purchasing runs PR to payment with supplier scorecards, finished goods sell through dealers and the B2B store, and VAT 201 and PINT AE e-invoicing come from the same ledger.

  • Kits as bills of materials. A finished product is defined once as a kit listing its components and quantities; assembling it consumes those components from stock and books the finished unit without a spreadsheet in between.
  • Lots in and lots out. Raw materials arrive in lots with supplier and expiry where relevant, FEFO picks the oldest first, and the finished batch keeps its own lot so a complaint can be traced back to the inputs.
  • Cost from true FIFO layers. The finished unit carries the actual FIFO cost of the components consumed, so profit on invoice for each finished-goods sale is answered from real purchase prices rather than a standard cost.
  • Honest about the boundary. MRP, shop-floor scheduling and machine integration are not part of e-tijariX; Next Orbit builds those as custom modules connected through the REST API when a plant needs them.
  • Office. Next Orbit Technologies L.L.C, 509-23, Mai Tower, Al Nahda 1, Dubai, United Arab Emirates, serving the whole UAE, the GCC and globally.
  • Built around your operation The architecture is agreed with you before any code, so the system fits how you already work.
  • Proven before you commit A prototype built around your workflow shows it working before the main investment.
  • Ready for the UAE Arabic and English, UAE compliance such as VAT and e-invoicing where it applies, UAE hosting where your rules require it, secure by design.

Pick a deliverable to see what it covers and the part of the stack behind it.

Deliverable 01

Catalogue kits as bills of materials

Each finished good is set up as a kit with component SKUs, quantities, variants and units of measure. Assembly draws the components from stock at FIFO cost and books the finished kit; disassembly reverses it.

From the stack

  • Node.js
  • Flutter (mobile ERP apps)
  • PostgreSQL

Deliverable 02

Lots, batches and production movements

Raw materials arrive in lots with expiry where it applies, FEFO picks the oldest usable lot and each run creates a finished batch moved from the raw warehouse to finished goods. See inventory software.

From the stack

  • Node.js
  • Flutter (mobile ERP apps)
  • PostgreSQL

Deliverable 03

Purchasing and supplier scorecards

Purchase request, RFQ, purchase order, goods receipt, bill and payment run with approvals and a three-way match, and vendor scorecards rate each raw-material supplier. See purchase order software.

From the stack

  • Node.js
  • PostgreSQL
  • Laravel / PHP

Deliverable 04

Dealer and B2B sales of finished goods

Finished batches sell through dealers and wholesale at tier prices with credit terms, through the B2B store and through quoting for projects. See B2B platform.

From the stack

  • Microsoft Azure
  • AWS
  • Node.js

Deliverable 05

Costing, VAT and e-invoicing for makers

Cost of goods sold comes from the FIFO layers actually consumed, so profit on invoice is true. VAT 201 is prepared from live data and PINT AE e-invoices go through accredited providers.

e-tijariX does not include MRP, shop-floor scheduling or machine integration. When a maker outgrows kits and needs work orders, routing or production planning, Next Orbit builds those as custom modules that read stock and bills of materials from e-tijariX through its public REST API and webhooks, so the ledger stays in one place.

How it runs

From first conversation to go-live

5 stages, each with a deliverable you can review and sign off before the next begins.

  1. 01

    Fit check

Next Orbit reviews your products, component lists, batch practice and sales channels to confirm kits and lots cover the process or a custom module is needed.

  2. 02

    Demo on kits

Engineers demo assembly, lots, purchasing and dealer sales on Next Orbit sample data, following one of your own finished products.

  3. 03

    Migrate catalogue and stock

Components, finished goods, kit definitions, opening lots with cost and suppliers are imported through the Migration Centre, test-run and reconciled.

  4. 04

    Configure costing and channels

Warehouses for raw, work in progress and finished goods, FIFO or FEFO rules, dealer tiers, B2B store pricing and VAT settings are set up.

  5. 05

Questions, answered

e-tijariX for makers in the UAE: questions we are asked

01 Is e-tijariX a full ERP for manufacturing in the UAE?

For light manufacturing, assembly, kitting and batch production, yes: kits with bills of materials, FIFO and FEFO lots, purchasing with scorecards, costed finished goods, dealer sales, VAT and e-invoicing. It does not include MRP, shop-floor scheduling or machine integration. Next Orbit builds those as custom modules when a plant needs them. See e-tijariX.

02 How does the kits feature work as a bill of materials?

A kit is a catalogue item whose definition lists component SKUs and quantities. Assembling a kit consumes those components from stock at their FIFO cost and books the finished kit into stock at the combined cost. Disassembly reverses it. Variants and units of measure let one definition cover several finished sizes or packs.

03 Can an ERP for manufacturing in the UAE trace a batch back to its raw materials?

Yes. Raw materials are received into lots with supplier and expiry where relevant, and each production run creates a finished batch with its own lot number. Lot history links the finished batch to the input lots and to the customer invoices it was sold on, which supports recalls and quality complaints.

04 How is cost per finished unit calculated?

From the FIFO layers of the components actually consumed when the kit was assembled, so the finished unit carries real purchase prices rather than a standard. Profit on invoice is then answered from that true cost when the finished good is sold. Labour and overhead allocation belong in a custom production module.

05 What does an ERP for manufacturing in the UAE need for VAT and e-invoicing?

Tax invoices with the required fields, VAT 201 prepared from live sales and purchases including imported inputs, and PINT AE e-invoices sent through accredited providers via a generic connector. Businesses with revenue at or above AED 50 million go live on 1 January 2027, all others on 1 July 2027. This is not tax or legal advice.

06 When does a maker need a custom production module from Next Orbit?

When work orders, routing, capacity planning, machine data or labour costing decide the margin, because none of those are in e-tijariX. Next Orbit keeps stock, kits, purchasing, sales and finance on e-tijariX and builds the production module as custom software connected through the REST API and webhooks.

07 How are finished goods sold to dealers and distributors?

Dealers apply online, pass KYC and risk review and receive a tier with credit terms, then order finished goods through the dealer portal or the B2B store at their prices. Project orders go through sales and quoting with margin guard. Every sale relieves the finished-goods lot and posts cost of sales to the ledger.
