General trading ERP software in the UAE: a mixed catalogue, imports in any currency and sales in any channel on one ledger

General trading ERP software in the UAE serves the most common licence in the country: a company that buys whatever sells, from overseas suppliers in several currencies, and sells it locally, to dealers or for re-export. The catalogue is mixed, the margin per deal matters more than the category and the paperwork for customs, VAT and banks is constant. e-tijariX, offered, implemented and supported by Next Orbit, includes a general trading preset for this business.

  • Mixed catalogue, any category
  • Multi-currency with FX revaluation
  • Import and re-export documents
  • Deal margin from FIFO cost
  • Import export trading software for the UAE
  • A catalogue for any product line
  • Quotes, dealers and re-export sales
  • Multi-currency finance and banking

Quick answer

What is general trading ERP and who is it for?

General trading ERP software in the UAE must handle a catalogue that changes with each deal, purchases in foreign currencies with landed cost, stock across warehouses at FIFO cost, sales locally and for re-export and a ledger that produces VAT 201 and corporate-tax workings. e-tijariX, offered, implemented and supported by Next Orbit, includes a general trading preset, multi-currency purchasing with FX revaluation, quotes with margin guard, bank statement import and PINT AE e-invoicing readiness, in Arabic and English. Next Orbit migrates the data and trains each team.

  • A catalogue that bends. Categories, specification templates and units are added as new lines arrive, with kits and bundles for deals that combine items, and AI search finds items by any description in Arabic or English.
  • Margin per deal, not per year. FIFO cost including freight, duty and clearance, margin guard on the quote and profit on invoice in the cockpit show whether each shipment made money.
  • Currencies and banks. Purchases in USD, EUR, CNY or INR, FX revaluation at period end, letters of credit tracked to receipt and bank statements matched from 22 UAE formats.
  • Paperwork handled once. Customs declarations, re-export documents, tax invoices with every FTA field and PINT AE e-invoices are produced from the same records rather than re-typed.
  • Office. Next Orbit Technologies L.L.C, 509-23, Mai Tower, Al Nahda 1, Dubai, United Arab Emirates, serving the whole UAE, the GCC and globally.
  • Built around your operation The architecture is agreed with you before any code, so the system fits how you already work.
  • Proven before you commit A prototype built around your workflow shows it working before the main investment.
  • Ready for the UAE Arabic and English, UAE compliance such as VAT and e-invoicing where it applies, UAE hosting where your rules require it, secure by design.

Questions, answered

General trading ERP in the UAE: questions we are asked

01 What should general trading ERP software in the UAE be able to do?

Hold a changing catalogue, buy in foreign currencies with landed cost, keep FIFO stock across warehouses, quote and invoice locally and for re-export, reconcile UAE bank statements and produce VAT 201 and corporate-tax workings. e-tijariX, offered, implemented and supported by Next Orbit, does this through its general trading preset on one database.

02 How does the system handle purchases in USD or other currencies?

Purchase orders, bills and payments are recorded in the supplier currency with the rate on each document, landed cost is added in AED and payables are revalued at period end with the FX difference posted. Supplier statements and ageing are available in both the foreign currency and AED.

03 Can general trading ERP software in the UAE track letters of credit?

Yes. Advance payments and letters of credit are recorded against the purchase order, shipment references and documents are attached to the receipt, and the bank entries are matched on statement import. Open LCs appear in the cash forecast so finance can see commitments by month.

04 How are customs declarations and re-exports treated for VAT?

Import declarations are captured against receipts and flow to the relevant VAT 201 boxes, reverse charge is applied where it applies and export invoices carry the treatment your adviser confirms, with supporting documents attached. The corporate-tax pack reflects the same transactions. This is not tax or legal advice.

05 Do we need a separate system for each product category?

No. Categories, specification templates, units and lot or serial rules are set per product line within the same catalogue, so electronics, consumables and equipment coexist with their own attributes. Presets for electronics, auto parts, building materials, FMCG and fashion can be layered on when a line becomes a division.

06 How do we know if a deal was profitable?

FIFO cost including freight, duty and clearance is carried on each stock layer, margin guard checks the quote and the Executive Cockpit answers profit on invoice from true cost. Cost centres by deal or division and the report builder give branded Excel exports, including RTL Arabic sheets, for the owners.

07 Can several licences run in one login?

Yes. Free zone and mainland companies run as separate entities with their own letterhead, numbering, VAT registration and bank accounts, consolidate with inter-company eliminations and switch in one login. Roles with 223 permissions and field-level hiding decide what each person in each company sees. See e-tijariX.
